GEORGE STONE is editor in chief of National Geographic Traveler. An avid explorer and passionate storyteller, Stone views travel as a tool for transformation and for connecting wtih other cultures, principles that help guide his editorial mission statement. As a National Geographic Traveler magazine writer and editor for 18 years, he has written and edited articles that have received awards from the North American Travel Journalists Association and the Society of American Travel Writers.
